2 league creation questions for the experts

Hi all! 2 questions today:

1) If I want to create a league that uses 4-man rotations, what settings to I need to adjust? Is it primarily a schedule thing or can I alter some settings at creation?

In the image below, can I select "4 man rotation" and then bump up pitcher stamina?

Question 2:

If I want to have a college feeder that produces players that are closer to "ready" have I identified the settings to adjust in the image below?

If so, what settings have people used with success? Default college settings are in the red box, high school defaults in the blue.

Yes, I believe you can do both of these, just do so before your inaugural season begins. Not sure what the effect will be. Perhaps make a template or back up of your settings before you try it out, so that you can go back to it if needed. As for your second post, you'll need to find someone who plays fictional with feeder leagues, so I'll defer to their expertise in that area.

Yes - do exactly that. Bump the stamina up higher so they'll recover in time for their next start. Remember, this stamina setting affects how quickly a pitcher recovers (how many days), individual pitcher stamina affects how quickly he tires when pitching.

If you're going with 4 man rotation right from the beginning of the league, set before your draft so teams will draft accordingly. If the league is already running and you want to change, do it the day after the WS ends so teams will react accordingly during the off season and FA period.

if not sure, import form a year with 4-man rotations. see what is there for both settings. monkey see, monkey do it -- my favorite way.

the drop down box for "pitcher stamina" further down in the screenshot is what will directly affect recovery time.

the starting pitcher's stamina LTM value will affect # of pitches thrown before getting tired. that's on the right side of the screen of screenshot that is not visible.

the dropdown at top of that screeenshot will just affect AI - i think, manual would mention something i bet. they'll use 4-man rotations, but whether the SP are recovered or not depends on the pitcher stamina drop-down box below for sure. maybe the rotation size drop-down also changes # of pitches thrown? pretty sure the LTM for sp stamina does that.. or maybe just modifies it further.

either way all 3 need to be set to match intended rotation size and # of pitches an SP can throw before tired.

one note:

there maybe be 2 settings that function well for a 4-man rotation... i say maybe, because i know it's true for a 5-man but i just don't play a 4-man ever. anyway... low and very low work well for 5-man rotations, except on 'low' a high stamina / great team trainers for fatigue recovery can allow that player to start on 1 less day of rest and recover to ~100% (requires a pitch count because %deduction for going over 'slightly tired' point in previous start is hefty. you easily end up ~84-88% instead of ~100% -- albeit,1 day early)

that same situation may be true at each 5-4-3-man rotation settings etc. something else to look for... want it or not?
