Right now if I want to do that I have to disable the sim in the background feature. This allows me to watch as many games per day as I want. Problem is, I then have to go to each remaining game and hit quickplay, as hitting finish day takes you straight to the next days games. No chance to see top performers etc.
There is a way too do that.

I mentioned before that if you go over the roster of just one of the two teams that you want too watch (and go over the player limit)then everything could play out and you could play those game(s) afterwards. That is if you want the game to be played out in that fashion.

Looks like it was reset to yes and can't be changed. Playing my first game and it can't be changed.

AS I mentioned you'll have to sim through the whole day once you've started playing a game that day. You'll see that the next day you'll be able to change that option as long as you do so before starting your first game that day.

Nope it's not changeable.

Unless there is another screen that isn't part of the games where you have that option.

I have a question Orioles1966 - are you going to the scores and schedule page, starting "Real Time Sim", then picking a game to watch and going to that screen?

If so, then that's you're problem. As soon as you click to start Real Time Sim, the day's games have begun, and that option is grayed out. You cannot change the option once the day "starts".

Suggest you select "manage game" from the scores and schedule page, then when you're on that screen, the option is available, and you can have games played out 1 at a time.

Hope this helps, if not sorry, but worth a try.

Yeah-That's how I have always played.

I am playing in real time so if 12 games are being played at 1pm then they will end and other games will start too play.

That's why you are locked...if you want the option to prevent games from running in the background don't start the Real Time Sim.

I'm still having trouble with this. I set the sim to run in the background (as I had it in OOTP 18-worked fine). So I'm ready for real time sim. I go there, find my team, which is playing on East coast time-7:05 pm start. I expect to end that game, and watch another team in my division playing on West coast time (10:05 pm Eastern time start). My game ends around 9: 55 PM Eastern which gives about ten minutes to the start of the game I want to watch. I hit "Leave Game" in the box score of my game. Instead of coming out immediately, the cursor spins, I come out, and all the games are final!! What am I missing, or is this potentially a bug? I did the same thing in OOTP 18 and did not have this issue. Gentle advice would be appreciated.

Where is the " scores and schedule" page?

I play the game -start real simulation and all the games appear with the earliest games on top and teams are abbreviated and then I select start game tab too begin.

When I originally start the game it goes to the manager page(I play in commish mode)

At the top:

File/Game/Manager/League/Teams/Play

Under Game tab:

Scores
Schedule
Game Settings

This is the scores/schedule page. You can select it from the menu as shown or there is a link on the shortcut bar if you use it. From there, select an individual game by clicking manage. You will then be taken to the pregame screen where you will be able to make the selection for not playing games in background.

Does that mean that all the games get played in real time? Once I complete a 1pm game ,the next available game that I want too watch might be in the sixth inning ?

No, if you select to not play games in the background, then only the game you're viewing will be played. Once completed, you can come out and play another.

If you want to use RTS, then you cannot stop other games from playing in the background.

I like using RTS, (been playing spectator mode for years) and what I do is start the RTS, then just jump in and out of games at my leisure. This is the idea of RTS, to have the day pass in real time.

So is this a bug?

I have never had too do this before to play in RTS however I need to go another way before I start playing RTS.

Does this mean I will have to go through the same procedure before every day's games if I want to play RTS but have too do it another way?

Oh well. That didn't fix the problem.

All the games in RTS were completed after playing the first game after changing the mode as directed.

Looks like it's a bug.

In OOTP19, how do you "jump out" of a game you are spectating? I started RTS and went into one of the games to watch. The only way to get out of the game I could see was to simulate the whole thing, which I didn't want to do. I know there was a "leave game" option in previous versions but I can't seem to find it...

Matt/Lukas - what happened to the "Leave Game" option?

Was this taken out intentionally? Can't jump from game to game without it now.

Please look into this, thanks.

You can use the save+leave option. It does the exact same thing.

I still get a combination of both. Sometimes I see Leave. Sometimes I see Save and Leave, but it's there. Didn't go away.
