Gleyber Torres 74 OVR 23 POT, but with good stats?

Hi I'm reading the manual for an explanation for this but can't find any.

I have the settings turned on to show OVR > POT if that's the case.

He has really good batting stats. He has really good game performance stats. I don't understand why he is 23 POT? (He just went from 43 POT to 23 POT just now actually)

Does this mean I should be dumping him? He's currently ranked as the 5th best SS.

I just don't understand the 50 point difference between OVR / POT it's the first time I've seen it in like 150 hours of gameplay.

If he's putting up those stats as a 22 year old, why do you care what his rating is?

ovr/pot based on stats and ratings eh?

scouting inaccuracy a possible cause or exagerating force

talent change randomness (setting controls frequency of random changes)

this is a good player, a somewhat known except for his age, because he is a real player. if power dropped and that caused the bulk of the potential drop, i'd expect it to rise back to the ~70's at some point in next year or 2. he's not typically a huge power hitter - potential power that is (tcr required for anything > 1/2 scale).

if he takes a dump for 1/2 the season, i'd look into trading. realize 1/2 a season can be quite wrong on occassion - even for the best hitters.

1) Is scouting on? If so, what accuracy?
2) Have his individual ratings changed?
3) Did this happen after an injury?
4) Did this happen shortly after the draft or spring training?
5) Did you change "Players Rated by League" or whatever that option is?
6) Did you change scouts recently?

This has beenl an issue for a few versions now im not sure why it happens. I saw a few players in an online league be generated 5* current half * pot. They had max current ratings and they hit like .400 and led the league offensively

I think he was clearly underrated by just about everyone.... he's going to be a beast next year. I would say he has 70/65/70 potential
