Do you guys prefer to use challenge mode or not?

I enjoy some aspects of challenge mode - but not having the ability to simulate large amounts of time can be annoying and commissioner mode can be very useful sometimes. Challenge mode seems to be a good addition. How often do you guys use it?

I played 1 game. It was okay. I am far too invested in my solo fic MLB universe to pick up another league.

I don't use it because I prefer using injuries on high. Now that I think about it I did not check to see if this changed in 19, just assumed same as 18.

I play under Challenge mode more often than not. I like tracking achievements.

I stopped playing challenge mode after i couldnt change player positions. Nothing worse than having a ss at 2b and getiing a daily trade offering me some scrub 2b for my top 3 prospects

I don't think I could play without commish mode, tbh. I like toying around and tedious work like hiring minor league coaches is a lot easier just going into the editor and placing them.

I haven't fooled with it even once, love the regular mode so much that I haven't had a desire to take time out and try it

I've debated going to challenge mode, but I need commissioner mode so I have stayed away from it

While the game is generally pretty well polished, I find too many weird things happen that require commissioner mode.

Besides, this is a single-player game. The race is only against yourself, as the saying goes. Plus, "leaderboards" are meaningless in a game with this design.

I've enjoyed dabbling with it, never got more than a couple seasons in before a couple of bad decisions torpedo me and the ax is right there... but maybe I'm getting better?

Anyway I need it otherwise I will cheat. I will cheat so bad.

Never. Commissioner Mode is useful in correcting the odd problem that sometimes comes up. Like a minor league club that's holding up game advancement because of an incomplete roster. Or players that are retired but somehow still on a roster.

I used to use it every time until I got a little more comfortable editing. I find it pretty crazy that you aren't able to at least edit the ballparks to essentially build a new one for your team (Oakland A's for example).

The biggest reason I don't now is because the teams I have used so far are in desperate need of a rebuild but can expand your minors. I feel like Challenge mode really limits some of the more realistic aspects of MLB management.

I've tried CM a few times now and it is ok, just ok.
With just a little help from the OOTP team it could be so much better.
I hope one day the dev team opens up a suggestion thread so that improvements could be made to make it more fun & challenging to play.

I like to utilize the various options the game provides. Challenge mode does not necessarily allow this, so NO challenge mode here.

I play Challenge Mode most of the time. The only reason I wouldn’t use it is if I think that I will need the commissioner mode to adjust something in the league as I go along, such as wanting to place historical players on certain teams.
