Losing Game 7

There's just something about losing a game 7 world series that just chaps my hide. My owner was even rubbing it in and basically told me to try harder next year. wow.

Like Billy Beane says in the movie Moneyball, if you don't win the last game of the season...

Kidding, that is the owner's perspective (ask Joe Gerardi or Don Mattingly).

I have lost Series in game 7 in OOTP and also online playing on Whatifsports. Stings. I know. You know it should - and eventually will motivate you to win next time and that you have a real good team, but it takes a while. At first there is just mourning.

I lost a World Series in the 9th inning of Game 7 on a 3 run HR after having a 3 games to none lead in the series. You never forget that type of loss and the sting never goes away. It's one of things I love about this game.

Mine was a bit similar. I was up 3 games to 1 and the Braves came back to force a game 7. The were leading 6 to 3 in the bottom of the 9th and my team scratched out 3 runs to tie it up and send the game into extra innings. But in the very next half-inning the Braves hit a 2 run homer off of my reliable closer and I couldn't cheat death twice.

I feel for you man, I have been there. Bullpen blew a four-run lead. Must have been 5 years ago still haven't forgotten it.

The last time this happened to me I think it was the third straight 1-0 game in the series

Way too many tense innings!
