Has Anyone Made New Award Icons For 19?
Has anyone made new award icons for 19 or will the ones for 18 work?

18 will work, but 19 has a larger size now, I increased the size of my own, can't remember if I posted them or not. But I only use the "real" versions of gold glove, cy young, and silver slugger, the rest of my awards are my custom icons. |

Could you please post them?
With instructions if possible, I usually need guidance when trying to do something new in this game. I couldn’t get the awards icons to work in 18, not for lack of trying, every time I look at the awards I have I shake my head. |

then install them from same spot now you have to find the folder they are in (depends on steam vs direct download) steam is usually steam-steamapps-common-OOTP19-data-skins click on the skin folder you want, go to images and replace the images you want. Then delete the skin.bin file and the game will rebuild it with the new images. |

I cannot figure this out to save my life. I have downloaded the award photos I wanted, downloaded the skin from the add ons central, overwrote the default awards with the new ones, and then....I can't get it to work. I have deleted the .bin file and it still used the defaults. I deleted the entire skin folder and copy/pasted the new one in its place and nothing happened. I changed skins on the splash screen and went back to the skin with my new photos and nothing happened. By nothing, I mean that the default awards are still loading. I feel like I am just missing one step here, but I just don't know what that would be. Any suggestions?

I like to try others awards, sometimes I'm using a default one and hoping someone posts a better one.
Using the silver star with blue circle that came with the game for all star, I think it's good, and the white ball in the gold circle for cy young right now. Here are a couple of mine. gold glove, mvp, reliever, championship ring, rookie Last edited by discodude5; 05-08-2018 at 11:10 PM. |

In the previous post they look really blurry though they are the same size as ones that came with the game, but they are fine in game.
Here are some in game screens to see how they look. Might as well put these out. A couple awards you can use. First I use for playoff mvp and second for custom. Last edited by discodude5; 05-08-2018 at 11:18 PM. |

All I do is download+install skin, copy the custom awards to skins>ootp dark>images where it will ask to replace. Then I delete the skin.bin of just that skin (I do one skin at a time) Load ootp and that should be it. Another thing is the custom awards need to have say award_gg , in case the downloaded ones just named gold glove or something, I think you probably had it right if it overwrote them but making sure. |

Yeah, I've done it where I changed things in a skin but had another one loaded.
So if you have the new awards in say the classic skin but currently using the unaltered dark skin it would still show the default awards from the dark skin. Other than that I can't see anything you're missing. |

I am still dead in the water here. Just to ensure, the place I found the .bin file is here -
C:\Program Files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 19\data\skins Is there another location where I need to delete a .bin file as well? |

It’s a skin.bin file under each skin folder.

I saw (and deleted) that file as part of what I have tried to do, and now what I have is the two skins I did not change have the .bin file while the one I changed has different folders in it. For the two skins I did not touch, they have files titled "defaults" and "skin" (which is the bin file). For the one that I changed, it has the following folders "colours", "constants", "images", "style sets", and "defaults". Does this make sense and if so, what should be my next step?

The one that contains Images (the directory that holds the icons) is the one able to be altered. Say the skin is Dark. The new icons go in the Images location (you can overwrite or rename the old old), then delete the skin.bin of the Dark skin. When the game boots it should take awhile rebuilding the skin. It’s relatively straightforward, so if it doesn’t work, something is going wrong in the process somewhere. We’d have to explore what.

We’re not communicating somewhere. Let’s start with small steps.
1) Is the game booting TO the skin you changed? 2) If it’s not, once the game screen is there, change to the skin you altered. 3) They don’t become bin files. The bin file includes a pointer to ALL graphic files. Verify 1 and 2. If they’re there, they’ll work. Oh and make sure no skin directory has a skin.bin file. Delete them before you do anything else.
