Pitch Count Help

I was playing a game today - Mets Vs Colorado and Syndegard was pitching and getting clobbered. I let the computer play to the 8th inning. I looked at Syndegards pitch count and it was 200!! I was like wth!

Guys - quick help - how do I prevent this happening in the future? I am playing as manager only

Plus, any way I can drop Harvey from my rotation if playing only as manager?

On the pitching staff page there is a place to input pitch count limits next to each starter in your rotation. “PCnt”

My starters only rarely bump up against the limits I set. Usually the manager takes them out after 80 to 90 pitches, even if they are pitching well.
