Creating a new league with old-league players?
Sorry if something similar has been asked before. I currently have an association with three major leagues (promotion/relegation) and a full minor league system. Because I want to change from an 84-game schedule to 162, and because I want to start fresh with financials, and because I want to consolidate three major leagues into one major league and dump the promotion/relegation, I am essentially looking to start a whole new league from scratch. EXCEPT I would still like to keep all my current players with their current ratings and career stats/histories.
Is it possible to use these players as-is in a new league, and if so, how do I go about that? I have not seen what I'm looking for in the manual. Thank you in advance. |

My initial thought is that you could get to the end of a season, release all of the players, change your rules/teams/etc and schedule a free agent draft.

If you delete your old league it will throw those players into free agency. Then you just have to create the league you want. You can then either start with a Fantasy Draft or if you make the changes at the right time you can just let the teams sign players through free agency.

Thanks. I had to add a new major league first before deleting the old leagues, but it worked.
