Managing Relievers
For those of you that play out your games how do people handle relievers that are not 100%? Meaning will you avoid a guy that is at say 77% even if his splits favor the situation for another guy that is fully rested whose splits may not?
I would imagine it is a combination for many but I'm curious as to what the magic number is before managers would not use a tired reliever? Is it once they hit the red or at some point in the yellow? |

I try not to use anyone under 90%, using them for only a favorable matchup.
I carry a bullpen of 7-8, so it's usually not a problem.

I never use a reliever that is in the red. Yellow is only for single favorable matchups. I try to stick with well rested relievers. Using them in the red can increase the possibility of injury too I think...

I avoid using anyone below 100% if I can. I prefer to leave guys in a bit longer if necessary and give everyone a chance to refresh back to fully rested.
But I'm a newbie so this may be a bad idea. ![]() Also depends on your schedule. Right now I am in a "36 games in 37 days" stretch that someone should be smacked for making.
