Consider re-working the way the AI reacts to players passing the league's age maximum
The main way I used to play OOTP was with players playing a few years in their career before they passed the age maximum and being released from the league. It kept things fast-paced and didn't require as much involvement making it a good way to play solo at my own pace. I didn't play much of 18 but found that players would just remain on rosters past the age maximum, I'm not sure if it was all of the time but my first test sims showed players playing at 32 or 33 when the age maximum was 28.
In OOTP 19 this is fixed so that's cool. However, unlike before OOTP 18, where players who passed the age maximum before the last day of the league season would be released after that last day but would otherwise be treated mainly as regular players (just unable to be traded), now it seems like AI teams put a player on their reserve list during the season as soon as a player passes the max age. I took control of a team and saw that I was allowed to assign players past the max age back to the active roster, but as soon as the AI had to make a roster move they would also send any players too old back to the reserve roster (not sure if this is noteworthy, but in one case a player stayed in the majors for almost 2 weeks before being moved back to the reserves). I wasn't going to suggest this since I don't think many people use this feature in their major leagues, but I recently tried using a regular major league as a feeder in a save and saw that issue crop up there as well.
I'd love to be able to have the AI react more like it did a few OOTPs ago but I wouldn't be surprised if getting that to work would be a big undertaking. I should note as well I'm still playing on the base version of the game, with no patches installed.
