Fantasy Draft Problem

I like to start new leagues with a fantasy draft, where players get contracts based on their age and ability.

The AI is picking terrible players. On other OOTP versions, the AI would pick star players, and prioritize young/cheap ones. Now they're picking scrubs. Sometimes they're OK players, but sometimes they're 20 out of 80 guys.

What gives? Can anyone help?

Sorry, so that's problem one.

Problem two is that when the players are drafted, they all have minor league contracts, even if they have a demand more than the league minimum.

Problem three is that the players' demands are very low. Star players in their 30's are demanding the league minimum, $550,000.

Can anyone help?
