Making my head hurt

I really enjoy this game and I played years ago and only remembered recently why I stopped playing... Let me state - I don't expect to win every game, or even every other game.

First of all - Any computer team I play, if a player has a 55 or greater speed - They almost always get on base. Doesn't matter, walk, slow roller through anything, if I shift for a pull hitter - It will go right through my guys. They almost always get to third on multiple wild pitches.

I have this recurrent problem with infield errors - My team averages about two per game and usually in the same inning, usually with two outs, and on a routine play. Always leading to 4 or more runs in that inning. No matter who I bring into the game defensively of from the pen.

Lefty / Lefty match up is completely useless. My lefties even with great stats get shelled constantly.

If one of my infielders doesn't make the play and throw the ball, I am screwed - The next batter is going to hit a home run. In fact, I felt lucky throwing out the runner on a pick off after this happened, and the batter still cranked one out on the first pitch of the next inning.

Reliever walks - I find impossible to believe that my relievers can walk four or five guys in one inning in multiple games in a row; especially with great control ratings. Always results in a grand slam being hit against my team. Doesn't matter how I manage the bullpen - The next guy will continue the walks.

My speedy guys almost never get the jump to steal - If I take a pitch the AI throws a strike and then if my guys do run, they are always guess right on the steal attempt for the pitch out. My catcher even with good stats will rarely even throw the ball, even when I will pitch out.

My teams usually start of 20 and 10 and/or will usually be around 30 and 20. Then somehow my team will lose about 50 out of the next 60 games.

It’s odd that the game only does all of this to you.

are you picthing around when walking so many?

hard to go 20-10 when all those bad things are 'always' happening plus, lots of mediocre teams can have a good 30game stretch.

change what you are doing or change how you value players, if you can't win with good teams. play with 100% accuracy until you know what is a good player and a bad.. then when you turn inaccuracy back on, you can recognize bad scouting through resutls.
