Rotating in and out injured players
What's the best way to rotate in and out injured players? I have a 40 man roster but I have players returning from injuries that were out before the season began. Should I send them to AAA for rehab?
Should I take out other players and cycle in the returning injured players if they have better stats? I am new to the game playing 2018 Red Sox MLB as the GM. |

As I understand it there is a "rust" factor so if they missed spring training and/or were out for a long time it might make sense to have the rehab. You should be able to right click on them while they're on the DL, but healthy and send them on a rehab assignment without actually moving them to AAA and using an option.
Hopefully that is all correct advice. I'm new myself. |

Yes you should send them to rehab.
Yes you should replace the worse players with better players. As you clean up the roster, be careful to keep some less-than-horrible roster filler in AAA so you can use them in an injury emergency rather than have to go sign or trade for someone to fill in while you have a guy out for a couple of weeks. I like to have a C, an IF, and an OF with ML experience stashed in AAA, not necessarily on the 40-man roster (in fact I prefer to have those sorts on minor league contracts).
