Saved Game Lost!

Game crashed, went to reload and my save is gone! I'm on Mac, Sierra 10.12.6 (yes out of date, so not asking about crashing), I just would like my save back. Any ideas? I noticed that the folder is still there, but does not have all the .dat files. I think I have six rather than the listed 16.

Any ideas?

Ok, so I copied the missing .dat files out of the autosave folder and was able to restore. Whew. Strange bug, but immediately backed it up after successful restore.
