Why does draft talent diminish every season?

Drafts start out great in 2018. After about 10 seasons, I notice a sharp decline in young talent. I'm in the year 2050 and the best I can get with my first round playoff pick is a 2 star prospect who projects to maybe be a bench player on my current team. International talent diminishes over the years too. This is a huge problem, IMO, especially for online leagues.

From what I have noticed, the drafts are hit and miss - as they should be. Some drafts are just weak, and then you'll have drafts where you wish there were more rounds. Give it a few more seasons and see if you don't have another really good draft pop up.
