Cannot be fired question

Hi

I am playing OOTP19 as the Padres and I play out all my games. As the Padres are very poor I have the Cannot be Fired setting on as I don't trust my owner to keep me around long enough so that I can rebuild the team.

As I play out all of my games I don't want to end up out of a job in a few seasons time as it is very time consuming.

So my question is this. When I started I got a three year contract with the Padres. When that contract expires does the owner have to give me a new one because the Cannot be Fired option is ticked? Or can he just let me go and I have no say on it?

He'll automatically renew you when the contract runs out. You're fine.

It's right above the option to play in commissioner mode. At the very top.

here ya go. If you are playing in Challenge Mode its not available.

Well, Gabe Kapler had a poor reputation three games into his first season. Be patient, win games, and the world will rank you more highly.

It's only 80 games, you're still a random person they pulled off the street to be GM.
