Improve individual potential, but overall potential drops? Bug?

A few different players improve their individual rating, but their overall potential rating goes down? Player ratings are relative to all players, not position. And yes, scouting is on, but I still don't see how this makes sense.

Is this a bug?

I think what happens is this....

Overall is based either on comparison at "same position" or "all players" depending on your setting. Either way it would be possible to increase a individual skill but have the overall decrease. IE if other SPs had larger\more skill increases their overall may have risen above your SP's.

Also keep in mind the shift might not be much due to rounding. So maybe control goes from 47 to 48 (which shows up as 45 to 50), but maybe the stuff dropped from 52 to 48, which doesn't show up as an actual drop since they round to the same values.

Is there anyway I can take a look at potential ratings by date in an export? Would love to verify this with actual data. The chances of the entire league's potential ratings going up even more than these guys so much so that it drove their's down seems off to me.

could be TCR too.. no rhym or reason to that... and scouting inaccuracy ebbs and flows by the scouting report too.

if it's a small change and doens't continue in a distinct trend over a longer period of time, i wouldn't worry.
