Weird problem this morning

OK, so I downloaded OOTP19 the first day available (prior to the main release), installed updates, etc. Have been using it since with no problems. Used it last night for several hours, no problems.

Now, this morning, the 3D game animation is completely messed up. The ball is often invisible. When it does appear, it begins as a hit, then is suddenly back with the catcher, who makes the throw no matter where the ball was hit. I tried starting several test games besides the two saved games I had, but problems appear in all of them. Game play has completely frozen the game twice, as well, and needed a force shut down.

The only thing that is different is that first thing this morning I downloaded and installed the Pstricket Historical Ballparks 1, 2, 3 in the add-ons central. When things went wacky, I re-installed them. I have no idea why they would matter, as the games I am playing are 2018 MLB in 3D view, but ...

Has anyone else had anything similar to this happen. Is there a way to uninstall the historical ballparks? Will I need to completely uninstall the entire OOTP19 and download and install it again?

on another thread, someone mentioned they had problems seeing the ball after downloading Pstricket Historical Ballparks 1, 2, 3. i don't know if those are the issue, but you might try to delete them - or move them into folders OOTP won't find), and then do a uninstall/reinstall without them. (If you do a uninstall / reinstall of the game from the standalone ALWAYS un-license first.) That would let you know if they are the issue or not.

i don't know if you can uninstall the ballparks. (i think not. once a long time ago i looked for a way and didn't find it.) but you can copy them to a different folder, and delete then them from the game. i don't know where 19 saves those files right off, and i'm not at my game computer.

you shouldn't have to re-download the OOTP game, if you still have the last file you downloaded. You can use that file. If you go that route, be certain to unlicense.

IMO, the historic ballparks are broken. I've experienced crashes and glitches with it on, and clean play with it off.

I suggest uninstalling the mod, and waiting until it gets fixed to reinstall.

Easiest way to uninstall is to delete the ballparks folder. Then there is a function in game to reinstall the orig files, run that.

Where is the function to reinstall orig files located? I am not finding that?

Also, are you meaning to uninstall the complete OOTPMods.com server?

**** In the Setting under troubleshooting, I do see a 'Force game data re-installation' . Is this what you are referring to?

Well it's not the games fault. I have mostly historical ballparks and no issues. Reinstall the mod.

I deleted the mods server in add-ons, deleted the ballpark folder, then ran that Force Game Date Re-installation. That seems to have cleared up the problem. I would like to add some of the mods again at some point, but am going to wait and see if this is a common enough problem that it is addressed somehow. The historical ballparks had to be my problem since getting rid of them has taken care of it.

Royalusedtorule... I had the EXACT same problem after installing the EXACT same ballparks. My games crashed everytime within 6-pitches.

The catcher always threw the ball no matter where it was hit.

Lukas advised me to properly uninstall the game since they felt I probably corrupted the files. I re-installed and it works great... but I have NOT installed the Historic and Modern Photos or the PStrickert ballparks.

I really want to use photos and ballparks and hope the new patch that's supposed to come Monday will work.
