Players that don't like my manager.. will I ever be able to sign them without having to fire the manager?

The trade AI has made a HUGE leap imho. Every trade between CPU AI teams so far have made perfect sense, plus the ones I've made with the AI are also realistic.

I'm not going to rehash the reasons why. I'm just recording for posterity here; a communique from me to God, if you will.
Here it is: This is the most fun that I have ever had with OOTPB and that is saying something. No smilies, no further comments, that is it.

default on challenge mode.
it wasn't great, but good enough to accept considering my needs & owner goals. IIRC, it was my backup catcher (will look when I get home - Max Pentecost maybe) for Aaron Judge. even trade IMO, much better than before when I would laugh at them. |

The new scouting graphs are really amazing. Really allows me to get a better sense of development.
I really like the new 3D stadiums, widgets, players, and animations. Approaching my first trade deadline and the trades I've seen so far were very realistic. Teams on the fringe of the wildcard trading away depth and a prospect for a starter at a weak position, etc. I still long for trade e-mails that lay out who gets what in a better format. I wish there was a summary like: <Team A receives> Player 1: stats, contract, options, etc. Player 2: "" <Team B receives> Player 1: 4th round pick |

OOTP has truly broken new ground . Incredible graphics, easy to play, but the game has great depth and I have only scratched the surface .

I have been working on my league setup, but I played an exhibition game today and it was great. The interface was spot on and I love the 3D animations. So, I'd like to say great job to the OOTP crew.

I've been playing since the game came out and I JUST realized what they did with the defensive stats page...I love it!

I'm really happy to see the upgraded scouting reports. I hope you keep focusing on that area with even longer, more detailed reports.

never hit more than 32 before he joined the Mets in my game (only once topped 30), hit 3 the year before (missed 4-5 months in 2021). lifetime batting avg of .214. arbitration year. I'm guessing he was replaced. this is a dynasty started in OOTP 17. not sure Judge is the same guy. those 50 HRS you speak of are real life. Pentecost was 60s or 55s across the board & raking when he played. |

cool note (*not sure if new or never noticed before):
Judge was wearing a pretty strong scowl when I traded for him. with NYM, he had his best year (.223/39HR - starting RF) & signed a contract extension. he is now smiling. very, very cool. Last edited by IanIachimoe; 04-15-2018 at 09:12 AM. |

Overall great impression
Only a few versions of OOTP under my belt but I am really enjoying 19. 3d and field animations add a lot to an already great game. Only personal con is that the Stats page seems cluttered and hard to read with unnecessary face pictures that take up space. And although I see that some people like it, I don't see the need for the position/lineup comparison. It's not like the players go head to head like a wide receiver vs a corner back or point guard v point guard.
Great game, consistent quality year after year and so far no issues playing it. Has run smoothly. Keep up the good work. Thanks Last edited by nathanaz; 04-29-2018 at 05:41 PM. |
