swing away

what exactly does that do..does it force them to swing? how is it different from just clicking the at bat button.

no, if they have a good eye they will more likely take a bad pitch etc..

it doesn't force them to do anything, it just gives them the proverbial "green light"

Think of it as the opposite of "Take Pitch". If you click that, there is no way they would swing. If you click "swing away", they can.

Simming the at bat relinquishes any control of the at bat. That’s the difference. In other words, they may not just swing away. They could steal, bunt, etc. without your input.

Maybe I missed the subject change, but swing away in pitch by Pitch mode is not simming; and no they will not steal bunt etc. as the human player is in control by definition.

I took “clicking the at bat button” to mean simming the at bat. Maybe I’m wrong? It’s happened before...
