how do u remove pitchers from "batters" and vice versa

in a few cases ill have batters appear under pitchers and pitchers appear under batters

how to fix?

You meaning a pitcher showing up in the lineup screen? The two-way players will appear on both the batting/pitching screens.

It's because in the strategy for said pitcher it has him as a two-way player. Turn that off if you don't want to see that.

Go to the player profile and select "set strategy". uncheck box that says uses as two-way player. That should fix it.

I know for me, I have unchecked this multiple times only for it to come back on at some point

I have had the same thing happen to me. I found out if the AI is controlling all or parts of the organization, they will switch it back. To correct this I turned it off for the entire league. I don't think this feature is quite ready and still needs to be tweaked. I did not have to worry about Ohtani because in every sim I ran, he was hurt early in the season and out for 10-12 months.

The pitchers I wanted to remove were horrible batters/fielders so I could not understand why they were set that way.

I'm sure the OOTP team will continue to adjust this feature in future patches.

it will happen whether you allow a player to do both or not... this happened in older versions too..

to get rid of it:

turn on commissioner mode
go to player editor
"0" out the experience of fielding position or pitching.. wherever you don't want them to be displayed.

After that, they will not show up in the unwanted screen. if they do, that's a new 'thing.' after that, make sure the setting is unchecked if you don't want the ai to use players as both??? doubt this dynamic changed, but who knows?

as of last year's ootp, this is 100% about positional experience and nothing to do with the new dual threat feature being enabled or disabled.
