Why Pat Venditte is not switch pitcher? He is likely to be included in opening day roster of LAD. Is it impossible to set pitcher to switching hand in the game?

So I am looking to take the TB Rays and move them to Montreal, and reestablish them as The Expos. I have a few questions about this process.

1. Is there a way to link the Montreal History to this team that is currently linked to Washington? Also, remove the TB History if that is possible?

2. Is there a thread that will walk me through the jersey/logo download/upload steps?

3. Is there a thread that will help/explain stadium uploads?

This is only my 2nd iteration of OOTP that I have owned, and I am having a blast! I am really looking to immerse myself with this franchise in Montreal.

Sounds like they're sending him down to triple-A. Switch pitching breaks too much stuff to get it in. Someday I'm sure we'll have it, but unless if Venditte can actually establish himself in a bullpen, there's not a lot of urgency in that.

Although I can see why some folks would want this, I kind of hope this remains under-the-hood. At least for the coaches, I like the way it's set-up now, more results based/reputation; feels more real.

The game has improved in fact that the correct managers pop up in the year you start the game, but then it's fantasy the rest of the way.

Since all stats is correct for those RL managers at the start I would think all the others are somewhere in the DB. Why not include them as managers without a job, since that's what they are in RL. Adding managers that have had some years of free time yourself isn't a good answers since they lack stats up to that time.

After all it's a Manager Game, so I would have hoped that finally more time would be focused on all the brilliant Managers in RL.

A little more realistic thinking for the AI-managers would also be good.
When I signed Tony LaRussa (fired the years before in Oakland) to my Double A team I thought that would not be very realistic.
The big players in the game would never sign a MiLB contract if they in the top years of their game, so why managers with pedigree.

Fact is that the bad handling realistic of managers and coaches when playing historical have forced me to play the game without managers/coaches, which perhaps it's ment to be played.

Still I think this is a part of the game that could be enhanced very much to a game of such standard.

I keep asking this for the last few years and getting sad not any of the "creators" answering. Can I understand that this is about 1% chance of ever being made ?
As said this is a Manager-game and historical is a huge part of baseball IMHO. Playing with a nearly full complement of REAL managers instead fantasy blokes feels much better.
Playing historical today must be done without coaches/managers unless you like to see an Asian manager in the Yankees in 1960-70-80s and even earlier. Not very realistic.

I finally figured out my substitution issue, for some reason I can't sub unless I have the "show customizable player list" option checked in the sub screen. Is this a known issue, it seems like something that shouldn't have to be enabled for subs to work.

Yeah I understand this completely from a realism point of view. Would love an option to toggle this on or off. Maybe something like attribute masking which Football Manager does well to hide the ratings.

I'm guessing their reputation is based on their performance in terms of wins and losses. So if a coach is managing a strong minor league team they are likely to gain wins due to the good players rather than the coaches attributes. It would be good if there were additional factors where you can find out what their strengths and weaknesses are.

At the minute its just reputation and style. I love coaching and building the right infrastructure for the team but its just hard work going through every single coach and looking at their relationships (which only show major league relationships, not the relationships for the team you are hiring for).

Obviously having a good coach makes the world of difference so just would like a bit more detail or interaction around this to help build the perfect foundation for my team.

I feel the same way, the little write-up when you click on the coach does not really provide you a good idea of their skills.

Maybe if the write-up was broken down by handling players, batting, pitching, etc. in a similar manner in which the player bios are written based on each skill aspect.

That might be the way to go; have an expanded write-up/bio to read, which could highlight or bring forward some of the information we are discussing.

I’d imagine that would take some time, but I agree that building the right infrastructure around the ball-club is an interesting part of OOTP (one of many of course!).

Does the qualifying offer amount change each year in 19? I believed it's based off the mean of the top 125 salaries each year.

Is there any answer you can give on this? Was this removed on purpose or is this a bug that will be fixed? For me, it compromises game play to not know the state of your opponent's bullpen without having to go through several screens, clicking on each reliever to know their status. Thank you.

I was looking through Buster Posey's Career Achievements in 2021 after a repeat world series for the Giants and it only registered those two world series and not the three others from 2010, 2012, and 2014. I was wondering if anyone else had that glitch.

1. Is the patch available for origin yet? I just looked and it doesn't say there's an update for the game yet.

2. What are the best settings to play on to reduce some of the workload on my laptop? I like to keep the Modern 3D view. Just had some issues when I am trying to play through a game.
