AI General manager team decisions

Do the AI teams promote/demote players based on performance? Or is it only based on injuries etc. For example if a player is struggling in the mlb and there's a hot prospect in aaa will the ai promote and demote. Curious how the AI handles things like these.

Yes, I believe the AI will look at stats but also ratings when evaluating a player to promote or relegate down. I have simmed through several years on do not disturb, which means your assistant/AI is making all the decisions and afterwards you can see a lot of movement. Trades, players sent down to minors, others promoted.

You might not like the decisions the AI made, but if you leave it to AI they will make decisions using the games logic.
