Why was French-Canadian removed from the game's default ethnicities in the world_default file? It used to be 33 in the old ethnicities file, but now it's gone entirely.

With the ability to add as many names/ethnicities to the game as we want, this isn't really an issue. I was just wondering why it was removed and/or not replaced with anything else..

Yeah, I was just reading those old threads in which you mentioned this. Odd, I never noticed it was missing until this version. Then again, there was little incentive to thoroughly examine and monkey around with this portion of the world_default file because of the old setup using the ethnicities/name files.

Up until this version I believe there were only so many slots for ethnicities, so if it was removed it was likely because it was replaced with something. From what I understand you can now add as many ethnicities as you would like in OOTP19.

No, it wasn't replaced by anything. That's the weird thing about the French-Canadian nameset. It isn't like the US (Historical) set that was replaced by US (African-American). The French-Canadian nameset has always been a part of the names files and yet has always been inaccessible in the in-game editor and has never been assigned as one of the namesets for Canada. It's like it's there, but it's not there.
