I know I'm late to the party, but I think he should be Juan "the Whip" Tover.

First there's the nice alliteration with Juan.

Then as such a tall lanky dude I can imagine him with a whip-like swing - those long arms whipping the through the zone followed by the "crack".

And I could see the team and fans talking about needing to "bring out the whip", to "whip the other team".

And of course the opposing team will love to call him "Juan the Whiff", hoping he strikes out....

Anyway, I could imagine a nickname like that catching on....
