Suggestion Regarding Personnel

First, I feel silly even writing this because as a Show-transplant, the depth of the simulation is incredible and I'm still playing around with program. The developers of this game really have done an excellent job.

My suggestion would be to find some way to incorporate the full major league staffs. The minor league staffs are incredible, but I think it would help the realism of the personnel section if it also included the 1B, 3B, Bullpen, and Assistant Coach spots.

For the 3B Coach, I would make his primary responsibility defensive positioning and defensive strategy.

For the 1B Coach, I would make his primary responsibility baserunning

I'm not sure how to incorporate the bullpen and assistant hitting coaches, but even if it is just an aesthetic change, I think it would help the realism and make promoting a little more fun.

One additional suggestion in this area would be to specify what positions a coach is qualifed for. So someone like Joe Girardi may only be "qualified" to be a manager given his past success & the likelihood that he would only accept a managing job. But someone like John Mabry may be qualified as a manager, 1b coach, 3b coach, or a hitting coach, but not a pitching coach or a bullpen coach. You guys may do this already, but I couldn't tell in my initial run through.

Again, excellent job on this game. Its miles better than the Show.

I second this.
And of course the 1b and 3b coaches should even have impact on the running game during the game itself. IRL they do guide a lot of runners (rookie primary) to make decisions on how to handle the situation.
Having a 1b coach that was a great base-stealer must be good the get the correct moment of taking off and in the game perhaps the basestealer could get a tiny bit extra shot on making it.

3b coaches to influence the runner on going to home while rounding 3rd base might be an extra spice on the running game for your team.

Not sure today how much difference catcher can make for the pitchers but that's in the same category as the 1b and 3b coaches.

Little but sometimes so very big things in this game of ours.
