AI signs players with season long injuries to 1 year deals

Hey, I assume this is a bug with the AI, but I just had Boston sign Trevor Rosenthal (Out 9 months with torn UCL in game) to a 1 year, $13.6 mil contract. He will never play in 2018 so this probably should not have happened.

I mean, they probably wouldn't sign him to a deal for such a large value, but players with these sort of injuries get signed all the time. They also usually include a second year option on the deal though. Recent deals I can think of like this are Nathan Eovaldi and Drew Smyly

Yes, as far as I know, it should have been fixed in the release version.

I mentioned this during the beta and haven’t seen it happen since the release.

Still happening. TR always signs a 1 year deal somewhere despite not being able to play.

Yes I’m on the latest release. Didn’t happen until June on one of my sims so I thought it might be related to filling an injury need. I started a new one to check and it happened in early April. I’ve only seen the Dodgers sign him.

I can confirm this is still happening even with the new release. I started a brand new game after updated to the final version of the game and within 5-6 days of the season, Houston signed TR to a 1-year deal.

Added in a few more tweaks for this

Always a challenge to balance the AI not giving him any offers (thus letting a human steal him for themselves) vs giving a stupid deal to an injured player.
