OOTP crushed it with OOTP19

If you came here expecting a glowing review, a positive review, a pure, unadulterated lovefest for OOTP19, you're going to get it! Fortunately, everything you've heard about the game IS true. This is the "Sgt. Pepper" of OOTP. It is the masterpiece. I just played a game managing the Detroit Tigers against the Pittsburgh Pirates and it felt like I was watching the game on "Extra Innings". Incidentally, we won 4-2. Michael Fulmer pitched 8 strong innings and Joe Jimenez picked up the save. Fulmer is REALLY good and reminds me a bit of a young Jack Morris.

Detroit had an off day the next game and, just for the fun of it, I watched a bunch of games using the Real-Time Simulation. Holy crap, it was even more fun than I would have anticipated! I can't tell you how excited I am to watch T.J. Lauerman's (ThatSportsGamer) and Kris Jardine's (SnaggleJ) Twitch streams tomorrow! It is going to be so much fun watching them play their games this season and others as well. I also look forward to reading everyone's dynasty replays and screenshots.

I've been playing around with the game for the past couple of days knowing that there's likely to be a few bugs worked out and not really going to get hard-core serious until it gets closer to real-life Opening Day. That being said, I am literally blown away by how awesome OOTP19 is. On a scale from 20-80, I give it a 100. The BEST OOTP yet.

And it's not just the big stuff. The little touches like the resizeable windows in the Manager's Office Screen. Then, discovering that there is a Links window available and that Bookmarks and Notes can also be added now. Was that done in 18? I don't think so!

Nope, we added a few new widgets to the manager home page. If there's anything else you want there, don't hesitate to ask!

I will, again. I fear brickbats, though, from my repetitious badgering of them.

I have, but none of them are interested. The ones who do like baseball either just go to games and watch it on TV or they play MLB The Show on their Playstations. Perhaps this is small local sample size, but the love of this game seems to require a serious interest in the nuts and bolts of baseball combined with an interest in statistics and I’m the only guy I know here who has both.

This is a truly great and groundbreaking version. I can't see any real flaws in it. I do wish the 800 team logos came with full player uniforms, though. Maybe next version?

Done. Told a friend about my enjoyment of OOTP 19, he is a hockey guy, told him about the offerings here and he is buying that asap.

Just yesterday, I was trying to coax my Millennial aged buddy/coworker to try out OOTP Baseball 19. Actually, I tried last year with OOTP Baseball 18 and even the mobile MLB Manager 17. No luck (yet). The kid is all about Metal Gear (or is it Gears of War?) and MLB the Show. :shrugs:
