Blurry Screen Fix causes small screen

May have missed a fix but I haven't been able to fix it with this OOTP or 17. I fixed the blurry screen fix with the DPI scaling but it causes small graphics.

Not sure where I am messing up! Thanks!

Does the screen size change if you change the resolution in-game?

Screen size changes but it makes it smaller, I've tried a couple of different settings.

Welcome to the complex and frustrating world of screen size, pixel density, and effective resolution.

Speaking as a Windows user (not sure how well Mac handles this)... Apps and the OS need to find a better way to handle scaling with high resolution displays. I find it a constant struggle to find the "right" settings.

You're darned if you do, you're darned if you dont..

If you allow the OS to scale the app, it will often be way too scaled and everything is giant and fuzzy. If you disable app scaling, everything is way too small because your display is high resolution. Windows has a way to adjust the scaling factor, but again you'll have to adjust this depending on what you are trying to do..

Any tips on how to get it right? Haven't messed with it much to be honest.

With app scaling disabled, try setting your Windows screen resolution to something in the ballpark of 1920x1080 or 1600x900. Depending on the aspect ratio of your monitor these number will vary. In general, I think somewhere in this range will be pretty decent. They should be sharp and still allow you to fit enough content on the screen.

The challenge will be how will things other than the game look. You may need to set the Windows scaling to get decent results for other stuff. My guess would be somewhere around 100% or 125%.

Tried the different settings and didn't really work the way I thought it might.

The normal resolution is 3840x2160 at 250%. Obviously too much. I've tried other but it just diminishes a lot. I could live with it.

That gives you an effective resolution of 1536x840 which is pretty good. I imagine with that much scaling it is pretty blurry though. Have you tried setting your display resolution to this, but then setting the scaling to 100%?
