New 3-D Stadiums

Watching the "In game walk through video" there is a part where Markus goes between new 3-D stadiums and the older 3-D stadiums and I honestly couldn't tell much of a visual difference. Can somebody tell me what the difference is in the "new 3-D stadiums". Thanks in advance!

If I'm not mistaken, the new 3D stadiums stayed exactly the same, but you can change the widgets from the modern 3D back to the classic 3D widgets.

The stadiums are the same. The view is different. You have the modern OOTP 19 view and the classic OOTP 18 and earlier view.

But the March 4 post by Markus that lists new features says the following:

Major Changes & Additions
- 2018 rosters
- New in-game screen & 3D ballparks & player animations

Thought I read that they'd made two fictional stadiums.

The stadiums have been updated - we've made a pass through all the included stadiums and updated some features within them, updated the audience, shadows, lighting, etc...

I don't think the walkthrough video showed the difference in ballpark visuals.

Yeah, there's quite a bit of new and improved stuff in the stadiums, they're definitely a noticeable upgrade on last year's, at least in my opinion

One other cool thing I read somewhere here about the audience is that the crowd will actually somewhat reflect the attendance levels at the stadium that day.

I believe that has always been the case. I know in 18, in the Park editor you can see what it looks like with empty, low, average, high, and sold out attendance

I didn't know that, or I haven't noticed it in 18. I wonder if that was just an editor option in 18, and in 19, it will be sort of "built-in" and shown on the stadium view based on the attendance.

So we still haven't seen the new 3-D stadiums? Can't wait to see the updates.

Yes you have. That walk-through showed you the new 3-D stadia, unless I'm totally out of my mind, which is quite possible. The crowds move around too unlike the stationary/frozen look from last year.

I saw the YouTube video where they showed Fenway Park and all I can say is "Wow". Significant upgrade over previous versions. If they get classic ballparks like Ebbets Field, Polo Grounds and others to look like that, I will be doing cartwheels and I can't even do cartwheels!

The classic ballparks will all be available as mods via Add-Ons Central, thanks to the efforts of silvam14, adion, and pstrickert (who compiled them all into three parts for download).

I am playing the 1973 season as the NY Mets. I guess Shea Stadium is not in the database? I am playing at CitiField?
Thanks
