I never saw that before

Just as the time for OOTP18 is winding down, I got this message today ... one I never saw before

Interesting, as I was just getting annoyed that one of my players passed the all time MLB record for HR (and RBIs later) without any acknowledgement at all.

Good the single season stuff is in, hopefully the all time ones follow soon.

.248 against with 2.37era and a very high win total -- is this a lower slugging league by chance? ~sub-.400? i guess it could be pitch selection or any number of other factors too.

he's obviously a 'better' pitcher by anyone's standards, i'm sure.

Well, the league is quite interesting ...

We have some hitting, but in our 8th season we already 21 No-Hitters (one was a combined effort I noticed because it was by a pitcher I acquired in his first start)

5 of out first 11 No-Hitters were perfect games, and the last three "perfect games" were ruined by an error, otherwise we'd have 21 No-Hitters and 8 perfect games ...

BTW, I didn't change any settings, but since this is a fictional league I obviously edited the ballparks.

Fun factor: I had the hitter that set the league HR record with 55 in our inaugural season (it has been tied since), Keiran Quinnelly ... I noticed he was losing it in the 1951 season and even more in 1952 so I traded him with his heavy contract ...

Do you notice something really interesting in that trade?

ashton was getting old, probably a good idea. i assume that's the odd part? no biggie if you have deep SP. and wahtver you got in return is also an improvement... win-win situation. i always have 3-4 SP in mil and at least 1-2 nearing the mlb or ready to take over etc. trading 30yo is a great thing.

fictional leagues take ~20-25 years to clear out seed players, which are made through a different process than how players will be created for your league every year in future. even if you don't change the settings, some drift can occur... if modern like #'s i could say what would likely happen, but since it's a bit differnt environment, no idea. typically goes up a bit in power with 2017 defaults with expected ramifications from that surge in power.

assume you mean not autocalculating modifiers included in not touching settings. if you see a drastic shift in any particular stat, you may want to auto-calc... if you want other stuff to stay the same, take note of it and only replace the 1 stat modifer you want to rein in by filling the others back in as they were after clicking.

ofc any new set of league totals needs a click too or it won't be implemented properly.

** if no one gets near ~55 in the next 50-75+ years, you know it was somethign to do with seed player distribution and not to expect ot see it agian if things remain the same. (e.g. ~45 is max in 75 other years, you can feel safe no one is ever getting to 55 again without an act of god occurring, which may not be possible even so)

i see you have draft pick trading on hard to resist coralling the first 3-5 picks each year, lol. i had to turn it off the first year i had the game. plus, i think it cuased greater volatility in MiL numbers because some teams traded away too many etc. not neccessary to do, of course. i needed more rounds to avoid "out of players" error or too few [sic]
