Sorry, but this would be way too much work for something that only very few people would ever look at, I'm afraid.,

Facebook can create scoresheets? Do I have to trade someone a cow to get that feature?

Facebook can do everything! Even vicariously influence elections! (OK, OK... I'll stop)

Understood. Would have been a “nice to have” like the WPA graph, but certainly not important.

I completely understand and is logical. Thanks for at least entertaining the idea of this and allowing us to at least discuss this thought.

Could the SQL dump allow for a third-party platform for scoring? After all, those online leagues have the game log on the real-time sim through Slack...

This was my thought. You could save the game log as an html. Someone with a passion for scoresheets can develop a tool to carefully parse that game log data and generate a scoresheet in the software of their choice. Tedious probably, but not complicated I would think.

Would appreciate it if someone would tell me where there is a KEY/LEGEND that explains the OOTPB Game Log... they have codes that are not clear to me... like where the ball is hit... and how deep a fly or liner is hit.

If this is too vague, I will try to find examples in an actual game log.

I think the ball location codes (ex: 78D, 2F, 4MS) are consistent from the game log to the ball locations on the ballpark information screen. The tag at the end of the game log corresponds to the nearest possible location. When you see one number, that identifies the fielder (ex: 7=Left Field). When you see two numbers, the ball was hit between two positions (ex: 78=Into the Left-Center Gap).

Letters follow this pattern: An M prefix=Up the middle (of the infield), F=Foul, S=Shallow, M=Medium, D=Deep, L=Line, W=Wall

OOTP's system is very close, if not identical, to retrosheet's: http://www.retrosheet.org/location.htm

Me too. But I agree score keeping is a very niche hobby and the people that do it at games for fun are rare. I usually see only older men and women do it but one time I saw a young 20ish looking woman do it and I almost fell out of my chair.
