Unable to extend my reliever.

It keeps saying my owner disapproves, as we do not have the funds, but I am able to sign other, more expensive players?....Im wondering what gives?... I have the money.

Hard to tell based on the info provided.

Could be that you have outstanding offers that have tied up your budget room (the more expensive players already offered a deal)?
Could be the second (or future) years are causing the problem?

Remember payroll budget space and "cash" are two different things. You can have plenty of cash, but not payroll room.

Review the owner message, your finances page and accounting page and hopefully you can see the issue.

I agree it could be something like that, sometimes future arbitration estimates push the budget over which is very frustrating.

extensions are affected by cash avialable the 'next' year.

if in offseason and not nearing any "scouting" operation, you can zero out scouting.

just make sure to clear some room by the time you need to put money back into scouting.

not so sure on development.. offseason should be safe? never tested that out. as long as you hav emoeny in scouting the day before a scouting report occurs you are fine. (they could make it not okay too, i am assuming a little.. imo, i'd make it $$$/day instead of just $$$ in the code. it could scale to avoid this "abuse" during offseason very easily if they wanted it to work this way - you'd get (1/x) * $$$ if just one day - x equals days during that period between reports)

if you see a drastic shift in scouting, recover a backup that you obviously made before doing such a thing... not just one player, but accross the board massive shifts in ratings - not all either, just many and all over the place - mlb teams, minors etc etc
