Why do images get stretched on forum?
I've attached some screenshots of the standings and such for one of my dynasty reports and the image gets stretched past the edge of my screen distorting the layout of the report. I sized the image in Photoshop to fit what I wanted but the forum is stretching it for some reason...

FWIW, I tried resizing them in Photoshop to 2/3 of their current size and the forum sized them the same. It completely changes the format of the post and throws everything off

What size are the images that you posted? Did you upload the image to the forum or link to a remote storage location?
I looked at your dynasty report, and I think you will need to use a different approach to show the standings and leaders in one shot. I used to set my screen resolution to 1024x768 to take a shot like that in order to fit it on the screen and still be legible. Last edited by Orcin; 03-02-2018 at 04:31 PM. |

I use the "attach files" feature to post images to the forum. Works really well because it shrinks it down to a manageable size that people can blow up if they want to look at it.

he means the resolution = size. any stetching would be related to this... the image fram in htm is for a different aspect ratio (lenght*width ratio is different, otherwise it coudl scale perfectly.)
do you play game in different resolution than when you browse web? still shouldn't crop it. hmm, i use print screen and paste into paint -- then crop or whatever if needed. thy don't stretch and when clicked they open in new window, unlike the image you attached.. somethign's different. it's not much slower, if at all, than using the in-game option for a screen shot. try the other method -- whichever you aren't using that is. looks like it's from a phone? or just the blog? maybe you cropped instead of resized it when you altered it? maybe blog has max reso that "works" without causing formatting problems? you have a few things you can easily troubleshoot. I figured it out. My image sizes were anywhere from 1500-1800 px. I tried 1,000 before and it still did the same thing. However, I set it at 1300 and its fine now. I'm not sure if I screwed up the 1,000 px test or if 1,300 is just the perfect number but its working lol.
Initially I wanted to just attach the file but did not have the option at one point so just looked past that idea. I might try it with the next post and see if its any different. Appreciate the help!
