Is there any chance that the audio for the play script will be closer to
the timing of the actual play on the field. : )

Simply Unbelievable. I’m going to have to keep myself from counting the days until release. Thank you OOTP.

Yes! I still would like to better utilize the space, but this is how it currently looks:

I don't think so, the audio is really experimental and we do not have much control over it as it's rendered by the OS.

Put this down as a wishlist item (OOTP30 maybe?). Audio play by play, pre-recorded. Even if we just have a real voice saying the basics without color commentary. Al Michaels in Hardball on PC, Ernie Harwell in Baseball for Windows. That would be an amazing accomplishment.

Even so, OOTP 19 looks amazing.

WOW! Looks so much better than 18 and even than, the visuals for 18 were still pretty good.

Maybe the scoring updates could be down the left hand side and the top performers down the right hand side? That would allow for more of those to be seen without scrolling as well.

man, looking at this i see how spoiled i am. my first ootp was 16. can not imagine what it must have been like to play on those older versions. was fun to look through though, i have gone hunting for screenshots of older games in the past but couldn't really find much, great thread

Even in the earliest versions, it was the best baseball game available. Season Ticket Baseball (my first) cannot hold a candle to OOTP 17 or OOTP 18 or OOTP 19 but it was still great to play back then. i commend Markus and the OOTP organization for continuing to allow OOTP to evolve. A lot of the changes you see were suggestions made by members of this board.

i look at a lot of other text based games... i don't see a lot of change.

With the Oscars coming up this weekend and I am a movie buff as well as a baseball fan all I have to say about the OOTP screens is:

Markus you are "The Natural"

The buzz for 19 has hit a "Fever Pitch"

The OOTP team has taken this game to a "Major League" level.

Most games out there are like "The Bad News Bears" compared to what OOTP has become.

Myself and everyone here play OOTP for " For The Love of The Game"

I clapped my hands "61" times when I first read this thread.

Can't wait to see who my next "Rookie Of The Year" will be when I fire this baby up.

If I had "Brewster's Millions" I would buy everyone I know a copy of Out Of The Park, simply because...it is the "Perfect Game"

Curt Gowdy from Oldtime Baseball game was great,it also had Mel Allen

some of used the sound from this to use in the High Heat Baseball we could put together Players Names an play by play to change it in High Heat. Curt Gowdy is my All time favorite announcer

3rd uniform

Marcus-

Any chance the third uniform can be added to the teams, so maybe we could have them use them on certain days?

The stadiums and scoreboards look amazing! Thank God you guys put one of the first OOTP versions on a CD and sold it as Season Ticket Baseball, as OOTP is easily the best game I've ever played and just like Dark Horse that was my first introduction to the series.

It's amazing to think back on how far the game has come since Season Ticket Baseball, but even back then the game was amazing. As someone who has played a lot of Madden football games over the years and has seen that product get worse every year, OOTP continues to put out an amazing game and yet somehow upgrade the game in meaningful ways year after year.

As long as I'm alive and as long as you guys continue to release the game, I will happily pre-order. What a fantastic job yet again, can't wait to get my hands on it.
