Thanks, I understand now, it is a good idea, more league listings is always good, makes things easier to find. If I may make a suggestion, an entirely seperate section for just leagues that have been around a long while would be cool. Always wanted to find one of them.

I was taken aback by this statement.

If my commish disappeared for two months without a word I might be a bit vexed. I'll learn this valuable lesson elsewhere.

That may not be a bad idea Karen...........the older leagues deserve that type of respect since they have been around a long time

I was taken aback by this statement.

This was based off Ran's most recent posts where he was looking for new Commishes to take over a couple leagues...

Is this thread back on topic??

I'd backtrack on my previous statement but the sentiment is nothing to get one's back up about. I'd need an abackus(sic) to keep track of the online league commishes forced to back down by injury and sundry misfortunes.

Yeah, real life events and personal/family welfare should never come before online baseball games. Especially when there is a war going on, people are getting laid off left and right, and terrorism is slowing down everyone's day to day life.

Ok, I usually let other services live and let live. However, I have to respond to a couple of quotes from an earlier post.

Point 1 -- I have a 99.5% uptime guarantee. If the server their league is hosted on is down for any longer then that, they get their monthly fee back. I don't know about you, but I think that discounts the "remain up" part.

Point 2 -- I can understand you missing BOSI, as I don't advertise that on All in 1. All in 1 is a full fledged web hosting service that doesn't only serve this community, but has a wide variety of customers. So, things specific to this community, or any other utilities that we build will be on a seperate site.

Point 3 -- BOSI v2 is on it's way, and it will have a dynamic front page built into it(so again, I can understand why you would have missed the fact that this will be a full fledged web site that's completely updated through database and programming). However, the customer is free to use PhP Nuke, or their own HTML, or anything else they want. It's their space to use for their league, for their personal use, or anything else that is acceptable under the service agreement.

As for me posting advertisements, I only post when a special is made available to me, and to answer questions. I don't spam, or anything else that's "below the belt". I let everyone know of any special pricing. When it expires, I go away other then to post as a regular poster in this community, as I have been since OOTP v2.

I don't see any reason to knock anyone else's service. I see enough room for everyone to live comfortably in and play nice together. Quotes like that truly aren't necessary, and I would appreciate you showing myself and Cooley the same level of respect that we have shown you, and to each other. You want to advertise your wares and make them known, that's fine. However, you don't have to try to knock the other services to do it.

Thank you.

Ok, I have just read the entire thread, and noticed that Cooley posted already(I started reading on page 2 so I apologize for that). However, I will not do the same.

Know this ..

My hosting is reliable, and it's backed up by a true money back guarantee. If my customers don't get what they pay for, they get their money back.

My packages are split up the way we did to ensure the server isn't overloaded .. even if everyone maxes out their plans. I have plenty of customers at the borderline of their current plan and the server is running just fine. As soon as we have reached our set limit, we'll start putting people on a new server. We won't oversell "hoping" no one uses their entire plan.

My service is the best that I can offer. So far, not one customer has quit, which I believe says something about the service I am providing. I haven't heard 1 complaint about my service since we started, and if I did, I'd bust my butt to correct it.

I truly wish your business the best of luck and success. However, please build that success without trying to knock my company.

Ok, now I'm done

Sorry Andy - but I have to.

I will only say one more thing about this that I never bashed anyone elses services. People came on here talking about it and my "pricing" and I merely defended myself..that I offer more that is all.

I also stated that I offer it merely as an option to people to use if they choose..if they do not then that is ok.. If you or anyone else feels that I knocked anything.. I did not..I did not start the conversation or even mention that I had hosting available..someone else took it upon themselves to mention it and then start in on me about it.

As BOSI might be a good program, I dont know (cant speak for everyone) if leagues will use it as a front page to their site. I personally, would not but once again..that is up to them..

Well I am done now... I never meant for anyone to think I was bashing them, cuz I was not nor would I ever do that.. If so, then I apologize

BOSI, in it's current form, shouldn't be used as a front page for anyone's site. It wasn't built with that in mind. That's an addition we are building into v2.

As for not bashing me, I apologize for taking some of your statements out of context then. The quotes about my pricing, advertising, and not saying if my server will remain on-line I took as bashing, and were in-accurate, so I felt I had to defend myself as well. The funny thing is that the person who mentioned me in this thread(which you said you were defending yourself against) isn't even a customer of mine

Message boards are a great tool for getting the word out. They are also VERY easy to mis-understand. Hopefully, we can avoid these misunderstandings in the future.

Best of luck to you!

Now, back to your originally scheduled thread, already in progress. What was it about again???

Getting this back on topic, I wanted to take a minute and 2nd the opinion that Adventureran is a great commish. 4 Ever has a great site, and great support. Ran throws everything he has into that league, and it shows.

Err... maybe if you live in Tel Aviv. Here in the occupied lands of "Missouri", we go about our business as we have for years.

Maybe you just need to look below the surface...outside of your isolated world...and you'll see many many ways that your countrymen are being affected.
