Playoff Rosters: Getting Shorted
I've been in the playoffs 2 straight years and each year I've had only 24 players eligible for the playoff roster.
I know that players have to be on the roster at a certain time (Sept. 1?) in order to be eligible, but what else could I be missing? |

Ok, I'm going from memory because I don't have any saves with playoff-ready teams right now, so apologies for any discrepancies, but here goes:
Players need to be on the 25 man roster, or the 10/60-day DL, before roster expansion on September 1st in order to be eligible for the playoff roster. However, I have seen instances where an eligible player is injured after 9/1 and their injury puts you below 25 players; in this case you are able to add players that are on your 40-man roster to the playoff roster. I remember seeing somewhere on the playoff roster screen saying "You may add x players to your playoff roster". |

Hmmm. I need to check on that. There is an icon that tells you who's eligible, but I haven't tried just dragging someone over there.

There's a box, bottom right I think, that has the message details in it about injury replacements on that playoff roster screen.

This happened to me (four players, in fact, were injured through the playoffs, two before 9/1 and two after). I couldn't drag a player onto the playoff roster, but I could use the "Available Actions" menu to put someone from the 40-man onto it.

See this
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...hlight=playoff Also make sure that you make PO eligibility to be the secondary roster (40-man). If you keep a short 40-man then you may be short in the playoffs. C'est la vie. Before the end of the regular season move all players on the DL that you can to the active roster. Make sure any 60-day DL players are placed back on the 40-man roster if room exists. After the regular season ends put all injured players back on the playoff DL unless they will be ready and you want to play them. For each player put on the playoff DL you get the opportunity to make an ineligible player eligible for the PO roster. Right now in my current league on Sept 7 I have 35 PO roster eligible players plus 4 on the DL. I'll post more detail once the season ends.
