Angry about role on team
I have multiple players in all levels upset or angry I shoukd say about "role on team". Some of these guys are starting pitchers or starters in the lineup where they really should be. I don't understand why they would be upset about roll on the team. I wish they would communicate better with personal messages to the manager/GM and directly say what it is. Why would a starting pitcher who's in the stating lineup be upset about role on the team?

Or even worse, a guy who's hitting .220 on a team full of superstars thinks he should be in the starting lineup. I have someone barely hitting his weight in the minors who thinks he should be starting in the bigs.

See, I don't this this is a problem because it's realistic. There are guys all the time who think they're better than they are. The OP is having a legitimate issue where the guy is in the exact role that he wants and he's not happy about it |

their happiness doesn't change overnight.
so, if he was max -5000 happy about role, it may take some time to tick back up to > 0. remember this stuff is a slow simmer over time. small changes daily or weekly (however they time it, small incremental changes is the key concept here) remember the drop in a bucket analogy they use for this stuff... incremental change may not have immediate effect... but as long as it's positive, it will help eventually (all other things remaining the same) so, if concerend turn on commissioner mode and go write down what his "role on team" value is... negative whatever... sim day or week and see where it is trending - up or down... if up, all is fine. if down, something else is bumming him out. his relationship with coach may influence speed? there may be other effects that influence rate of change too... i simplifiy it, but it can easily have multiple layers, if they want it to. is his overall happiness low too? as long as overall he is ~neutral or better, don't worry about 1 aspect of happiness.
