Player decisions changed by asst GM

I have myself setup as GM and Manager. As GM I promote a player from the minors onto the major league team. When I auto sim I find that the very next day the player who I just promoted gets sent back down to the minors and a different player is sent up.

How do I prevent the computer (or my asst GM ) from over riding my decisions?

This happens over and over again.

on the GM screen "control & Auto play" make certain you control Active Roster Moves as well as minor league promotions and demotions.

Thanks Mitchkenn I have done that but still having trouble having my orders followed.
I set the lineups I want. I setup the depth charts to match with the lineups but as soon as I sim a game the assist manager swaps out my player for the bench player on the lineup card.
I thought that for this game the basic story was that "I could be the manager".
Guess not. I am setup as GM and Manager and Commissioner. I am setup to control all duties.
I understand if there is an injury or something the assistant will step in and make adjustments but this is not the situation. The assistant is overriding my lineups if I want to play a less talented player over a more talented one. Should be MY CALL to make.

If you're in commish mode you'll need to actually take the job with your team from the 'available jobs' screen, not just use the 'act as' feature. The 'act as' is meant for temporary overrides for the commish, not for day to day control of the team as it still leaves the ai in charge overall.

What you are describing is how it should work.
Have you checked to see if 7-Day lineups are active?
Do the changes happen in the Depth Chart page or on the lineup screen before the game?

Thanks guys for all your help.

I think I have found the answer. When I turn on the "Do Not Disturb" flag and sim forward my Assistant GM and Bench Coach immediately step in and change my lineups and send players down to the minors and bring up different players. (Guess they don't like my ideas for running the team.)

If I leave the Do Not Disturb box unchecked and sim forward all of my lineups stay in place and no players are shuffled up or down to the minors without my approval. (Outside of injuries and other necessary changes needed to keep the team going.)

If you are using Do not Disturb to sim without being stopped there are specific controls you can set to keep simming without being interrupted.
