Developing a Minor League System Confusion

I'm unclear on the factors which affect the rating of my minor league system. I get that you want to acquire good prospects, but the feedback is confusing me.

First of all, when I go to the Player Development screen, it shows me the top prospects at each position, and tells me I'm ranked 10th of 24. When I look at my owner goals (one of which is build a top 5 MiLS), I'm ranked "19th, was 16th."

I also seem to recall a different player development report (which included both the bigs and minors), which I can't find anywhere (maybe it can only be generated off-season?).

Any tips/help on getting the minors in shape are appreciated.

There is a report named "top systems" or something similar. It is located at the same place as the top prospects report. I don't have the game in front of me right now. Is that where your owner is pulling his ranking from?

No, in that one I'm ranked 10th. I have no idea where he's getting his number.

And your name piqued my interest; is it possible we know each other from MtG?

I think that report is based on how many top 100 prospects are in your organization. I currently have a 0 score on that report. I think it is because none of my prospects are in the top 100.
