Chemistry and Morale
Obviously, winning is the best medicine for what ails a clubhouse. Are there other ways to improve players' morale? Playing time is obvious, I just wonder if there's something else I can do (like contract extensions, maybe?).

if you in editor and track their morale section after any action you can determine its effect.
there is a "transaction" portion of morale for each individual, so that defintieyl is a part of it. you have your per player and overall team chemistry. each is a cumulative value of all the positive and negative effects and chanages incrementally over time. so, focus on rate of change when worried. a player can be disruptive or a person could be upset about their role, but overall everythign is okay and not trending down => a non-problem. if you see a decline occuring, you know it's currently a net negative based on your choices/winning/ etc ... doing something in this context is probably smart... especially if you are not rebuilding. even if you are, you don't overall chemistry to drop too low for the team or the player(s). if things are improving, even if still not 'happy' at moment, i woudln't be so quick to make a decision solely based upon a concern over morale. e.g. i'm not trading a disruptive and productive player if my team can take it without any noticeable effect. even with this guy, my morale isn't declining, so all is good. that's the perspective you should take for any problem relating. 1 player complaining? is it actually causing any problem or future problems? production on field outweighs most things unless incredibly rancid. go put some all-star quality players on a team (~100+wins quality) and make them all malcontents... i bet the results aren't too far off from making them all 100/200 personality (assuming that's equivalent to turning personality off) Last edited by NoOne; 12-20-2017 at 03:54 PM. |
