Whats Your Most Epic Collapse?
My Delgado team had a 2 game lead going into September. After going 11-17 in September they dropped from leading the division to being 1 game ahead in the WC. After going 0-1 in October they are playing a 1 game playoff for teh AL wildcard as i type this. Losing 2-0 in the 2nd.
White Sox nearly collapsed this season as well but they had a ton of injuries but held on to win the AL Central by 1 game after having an 11 game lead going into September. I'll update this if my team loses this game. Update: i lost 8-5. i think OOTP hates me this year. I went 0-5 in the games i played out this year.

I "killed" the entire New York Yankees organization by forcing them to retire. They had to sign a bunch of free agents. Went from 77-26 to 83-81.
But don't let this distract you from the fact that the Cleveland Indians blew a 3-1 lead. |

Coming off a season where we were one win away from playing in the championship series in my custom league I vowed to get better in the off season so we could make that final push. We did have a our best season ever which would have been even better had we not struggled down the stretch. We Make it to the post season, not super confident but playing a much worst team as we were the 2nd seed taking on the 7th seed I was somewhat confident. After going down 2-0 in a best of 5 series I just felt like we were doomed despite the fact we found ourselves in the exact same position we were the year before in round 1 and battled our way back to push it to 5 games and win. We would lose game 3 this and be swept. Time for some major changes with this group. Too many guys not living up to their big contracts.

i had a 131 (132?) win team not win a ws. pretty sure they got knocked out in the first playoff series. didn't think a true 128-132ish+ win team could lose a 7-game series, to be honest. they sure can.
seen multiple 120+ish teams blow out in the playoffs at this point, too. think -9 or -10 is the worst 'luck' i've had going by the math (pyt in expanded stands) |

In the first season of a Mets save that I had, we won 100 games (Very interesting season. I'm using the updated September 2017 Roster. Stanton had 69 HRs, Judge had 61 HRs, deGrom was 8 K's short of a Triple Crown. I'm telling you, it was weird) and we made the NLCS. We went up 3-1, and we even got to Kershaw, which left me dreaming of a pennant. But, being that this is the Mets, we got crushed in Game 5 by a score of 7-0; then the series shifted to LA. We went down 8-0 through 6, and we had a 6 run 7th. False hope, cause Cody Bellinger hit a grand slam, and we went on to lose. Then came Game 7. The Mets fan in me wanted not to lose, and as the boss of the Mets in this save, I didn't want them to lose. We couldn't get anything going, and we lost 4-0 in Game 7 (Corey Seager hit a couple of 2 RBI doubles, and was named NLCS MVP), and the Dodgers won the pennant (they went on to lose the World Series in 5 to the Astros, where, just like IRL, George Springer was named World Series MVP). So yeah, even OOTP gives no love to the Mets.

Well if it makes you feel better I'm using the same sept 17 roster set and the Mets beat both 100 win Dodgers and 100 win Cubs and beat my Astros in 7th game on game winning rbi single in bottom of ninth. OOTP is a cruel mistress.
