Player has no positional ratings
I just noticed that one of my better players no longer has a rating at any position. He was/is a 3rd baseman. According to development he dropped from a rating of 17 to 0 earlier in the year.
I was looking at the guide and it says "Note: A player cannot 'lose' positions. Once he has learned a position, he will always have a rating at that position." Does this only apply if he's learned a new position and not apply to the one that he originally played? I know he's an old man but he should at least have at least some rating at the position he's been playing at for years ![]() ![]() |

A player has no position rating shown if their defensive ratings are too low for them to play the position. In this case, Osmond is no longer good enough to play 3B, so no rating is shown.

It is long past time to convert this guy to a 1st baseman.

As always, it's important to remember that a rating of 0 is really a rating of null. The true rating scale starts at 1.

You think most errors are made trying to catch a ball thrown to you? He'd probably be a competent fielder at first and worth converting if he can still hit.

1B is the easiest position to learn and the least impactful if there's a misplay there. unless you have a DH spot open, it would be perfectly acceptable to move him to 1B.
In the future, get your sluggers time at 1B early in their careers in the minors or spring training. That way when their fielding skills inevitably decline, they already have experience at 1B
