why do so many pitcher throw forkballs

I looked up top 200 pitchers in minor league prospects real life .. i couldnt find any. But the game makes bunches of them ..

Possibly because spitballs (not an option) have the same movement as forkballs?

Throwing the forkball puts additional stress on the arm, and is believed to increase the risk of injury. That’s why nobody throws it these days in MLB. The splitter is out of favor for the same reason.

the actual definitions of pitches are a bit unclear too.

different grips for the same pitch... the same "pitch" doing different things, etc etc.

chalk it up to that - a bit up for interpretation. the 'forkball' really isn't a forkball Neo was right. the spoon is not there!
