How to show Relative Overall and Potential ratings without absolute batting/pitching ratings

Hello,

I picked up OOTP 18 in the Humble Bundle after putting in nearly 50 hours into OOTP 17.

I love the upgrade but there's one thing that bothers me: I'm playing in an Indy League (The Can-Am League) and I had set the ratings to be absolute rather than relative.

Even though I set it to absolute, the scout and OSA would show me overall/potential ratings in Stars relative to the League, which I liked as it allowed me to easily at a glance decide who to scout from other leagues/free agents.

But now, unless I set everything to relative (Something I dislike) My entire team is 1 and 1/2 stars. The original ratings of 3-5 stars is still in the scout reports tab but I can't see it in the player search tab or looking over my roster.

Has this ability (Relative overall rating+absolute batting/pitching rating) been removed from OOT018?

Re-reading my post, I think it's kinda confusing so here's some screenshots to illustrate:

OOTP 17

OOTP 18

As you can see, I have absolute ratings set on both of them, but the scout's assessments in 17 give you his rating relative to the league (4.5 Stars) while in 18 it's absolute (1 Star).

I want to keep the batting ratings as absolute but the overall rating (the stars) as relative to the league.

Global Settings contains the settings relative to what you want to change.

fyi, how they calculate rp ovr/pot is different than in past years. you almost need to use relative to position for RP to show up as anything bove a 30/80, except for the few elite relievers that will still rate highly.

the point: it's gotten difficult to resolve RP by pot/overall without having them relative to their position... not that you should use overall for any decision (individual ratings give more and better info than an aggregate one)

if it's about old scouting reports, i don't think those change retroactively... so, you can either delete them and start scoutinghistory over or eventually they'll just scroll off the screen anyway.

the drastic change across entire team is odd sounding.. but, those 2-3-4 options in global settings is all you can do.. so trial and error and stick with the settings that provide the visual that you like. it may be different than in past. just how it works now.
