Enable Rule 5 Draft?
I going through some of the international leagues, and some of the rules associated with them, I discovered the KBO in Korea actually has a form of a rule 5 draft each year, and that it isn't represented in the OOTP KBO roster set.
I figured I'd go and try to see if I could try to "replicate " this, but quickly discovered there isn't an option in that league to schedule a rule 5 draft, and I am not entirely sure why. I am just wondering if I am missing something here

Pretty sure you need to enable the 40-man roster in the KBO and maybe waivers as well and that should give you the option to schedule the Rule 5.
The *** has a development player system (aka Ikusei) kind of similar in concept to Rule 5 and I've done this in the past with that. |

Can you edit the 40 man roster...in *** that have the 25 man active roster, then they a have a 45 man roster, which is the minor league affiliate.
This is all very complicated to me, as there just are not a lot of great sources to learn about international league nuance (roster, draft rules etc...) |

The Rule 5 Draft is tied up with the "40-man" roster concept because that is what protects them ultimately.
I gave up on the Rule 5 draft for *** because in order for it to work, you have to be able to DFA / waive players to get them off the 40-man roster and it's not very realistic for me. It was counter productive in trying to emulate the "Ikusei system" which is a development squad embedded with the Ni-gun. I suggest just experimenting and simming and playing around, that's how I break and learn from this game in particular. |
