He is suspended in real life, and to reflect that in the roster set and not have him take up a spot on the 25 man roster, they had to make 'suspension" his starting injury. The game does not know what the value means, so it thinks that he has an injury....hence the setback. Think of it as he violated some stipulation of his suspension and was given two more weeks.

Yea, I believe MLB does not allow suspensions to be part of the officially licensed modes so they had to make it an injury.

That's not the case with MLB. The issue is that with the way the game works a suspension takes up a roster spot that a team can't fill, so they'd have to play shorthanded. Thus it just works out better to give the guys an injury, so the team can still play with a full roster.

Perhaps then make it impossible to have a setback from that particular injury, or alter the wording for it to avoid the silliness in the OP?

Yeah. It would be nice just to be able to get a suspended list in the game. Maybe something for OOTP19!

I just had this exact same issue as well. I hope the next version makes suspension an "injury" that's impossible to extend or implements better suspension logic/AI.

Also, if MLB really forbids having suspensions as part of games, OotP is at least violating the spirit of the rule, if not the letter of it.
