Fire coach bug?

Hi - I'm playing Challange mode in a standard game and I'm trying to fire my coach but it won't let me. Only 16 games in and I'm 8-8, but I want to fire him regardless.

The actions menu when I click on him is just grey'd out. I can release my asst coaches though. Is this a bug?

I did search for this but can't seem to find anything about it.

The owner may not let you fire the coach, but you should still at least get the menu option, it should never be greyed out completely. Did you start as GM-only and he was there to begin with, hire him after starting as GM/Coach, or add him via editing?
