Import from 17 to 18 question
I purchased OOTP 18 yesterday and imported my saved game from OOTP 17. My import seemed to have worked fine however I am noticing a significant increase in the time it takes to sim day to day. I was wondering if it is normal for this to happen or if there is something I can do to get my sim times back close to the level they were in OOTP 17.
FWIW I am running it on a base late 2011 macbook pro with a 2.4 ghz processor and 8g of ram OOTP 17 worked really well, and I started a historical sim in OOTP 18 and the sim speed seemed fine which is why I am posing the question about the imported game! Any help on this would be great as I have never imported a save before! |

Perhaps some of your game, league, or manager settings need to be changed back to what they were in OOTP 17. (I think the default OOTP 18 settings might be in place when importing a league from a prior version).

The first things to check are the global options for box scores, game logs, highlights, etc... Most likely, when importing, highlights for games were enabled, which can add significant processing time for a feature that you may not use regularly.
