Who ya got?

I apologize if this thread isn't in the proper former or if non-OOTP topics should even appear in the forums at all. Now that the Wild Card Phase and the Division Series are over, I just have one question? Who you got? I am especially interested in those who no longer have a dog in the race.

I am an Atlanta Braves fan. I stared being a fan back in 2013 (before I had no baseball team that i called my own). I went to the Washington vs. Braves double header late in September when both teams were trying to make the playoffs. My uncle who works high up in a fortune 500 company got us tickets to the game in Washington DC and got us into the "Presidential Suite." Basically its behind home plate, with a 5 star chef, all the free beer you want to drink, and even home made gelato.

It was a good time, Bryce Harper was still getting into the national spotlight, Denard Span was hitting his 28 game hit streak (nats), the braves had the Uptons + Heyward in the outfield, Dann Uggla was still good, Brian McCann wasn't a Yankee yet, Andrelton Simmons was still wowing with his defense and Freddie Freeman was amazing. Some of the big pitchers were Brandon Beachy, Freddy Garcia, Tim Hudson, Paul Maholm, Kris Medlen, Mike Minor, Julio Teheran, and Alex Wood. Not to mention Craig Kimbrel.

Well I got to meet Freddie Freeman and Brian McCann before the game, as well as a few Nationals players. And during the game, while in the batting circle, Jason Heyward waved at us. I thought they were awful nice even though they were the Away team. That sat with me over the years. I tried to "DATE" other teams since then, because I live in Germany and probably will never go to Atlanta. I am originally from Michigan. The farthest from home I've gone by car on road trip was Nashville and couldn't imagine going to Atlanta. The only time I've been to Atlanta was through the airport. I've watched the Nationals, Reds, Cubs, Brewers, and a few other National League teams and none have stuck. Likewise, Over the years I've watched the Tigers, White Sox, Mariners, Royals, Cleveland and a few others but none have stuck. So I guess I decided to be a braves fan. They kind of picked me, and I have some good memories to help me stay interested.

Anyway the Braves didn't make the Playoffs and they are probably out for the long term. So now I need a team to follow through the playoffs. I am going with the Yankees. They are young, enthusiastic, full of energy, and like to have fun. It isn't the league leading payroll - steal your teams favorite player - murder the AL East team of the past. Before Derek Jeter retired, he was my favorite player. I also liked Mo, Sabathia, Pettitte, Teixeira, and a few other guys from the old guard. Back in the day we didn't have MLB AT BAT so i just watched the game that was on prime time. It was often the Yankees. Anyway, in college I wrote my thesis on the History of International Baseball and interestingly enough, the Yankees had a large role in the paper. So I have a lot of books and documentaries on the team. I've also seen them play both in Detroit and have drove by the stadium in New York. So I feel that of all the other teams in the playoffs, I have the biggest connection with the Yankees. Also I was a huge Granderson fan and followed him while he was in New York.

I don't expect everyone to put there life story out there about their favorite team. I am just curious who you got!
